Is something that absolutely grinds my gears. How simply is it to get into debt because the cost of living is higher then its ever been.
We live in a society that is made up to help support certain people, the rich people; and the people who are not rich, struggle, immensely.
But then we have to find new ways to make money and occupy ourselves and out time. Having to work two and three jobs in order to stay afloat. I’m fortune enough to have a good job, a stable income, as does my fiancé. But I know quite a few people who don’t.
Today, I’m going to do something a little different. I’m going to tell you about a friend. Let’s call her April, I’ve been friends with April for the past six or so years. She has always struggles with income, as a result of not coming from the best family, going to college to get a degree and trying to get a good job. But in that process she acquired a lot of debt and never really found a job.
But apart from this, she gets a little upset with me because, I have a job, and I don’t take off work to go out and drink and do all this extra stuff every weekend. (Just a note, I work in a 24/7 facility. My job never closes) At first, I felt bad because I wasn’t there for my friends. But as time went on, I didn’t understand why it was so hard for my friends to simply get a job. But then I remembered, the job Market sucks right now. A lot of people, Can’t get jobs.
Why am I telling you this story? Because for so long I’ve always judged people for not having a job when in reality, some of those people had been apply to jobs back and forth and not being selected. Use this story to remember to spread kindness because you never know what someone else is going through.
In regards to April, were still friends, she was able to overcome her finical struggles, but she lost a lot of friends along the way because of the line of work she entered. But she made great friends along the way.
